Nintendo is adding to their Nintendo Switch Online N64 lineup, with the announcement of Pokemon Stadium coming to the service next week. While you can't bring Pokemon from the Game Boy games over, you can experience the game's classic minigames, when Pokemon Stadium becomes available on April 12th.
Here is my pitch for "Pokemon Stadium 3". A high end 3D pokemon battle experience that works similar to pokemon battle showdown. In the sense that you can choose your dream team with options from Gen 1-8 and can choose their movesets, abilities, items etc. Also have animations in battle improved exponentially.
As long as you have the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, you can play the game solo or use the following method to play Pokémon Stadium online with friends, in a somewhat
Pokemon Stadium is coming to Nintendo Switch Online later this month, but it's not quite enough to make up for fans losing access to 75% of all Pokemon games last month.
Play Trainer cards. These cards represent the items, supporters, and stadiums a Trainer can use in battle. They allow you to heal Pokémon, draw more cards and do special actions (such as switch your active Pokémon with a benched Pokémon). You may only play one Supporter card and one Stadium card per turn.
Fortunately, this randomizer does just that, so the game can be played on the fly on most modern emulators. Project64, on the other hand, needs a little tweaking on your part after saving your modified ROM. In Project64 folder, open the .rdb file in your Config folder with a text editor. Find the entry for the unmodified Pokémon Stadium ROM
The opponent probably used Protect. That's the only thing in that game that would cause Swift to miss, IIRC. No (it was Stadium and not Stadium 2, Protect didn't exist in Gen 1) but good guess. In gen 1 Pokémon all moves that say they have 100% accuracy really have a 1 in 256 chance of missing.

Statistical buffs. The hidden source of difficulty in Pokemon Stadium is the statistical advantage given to the AI. Not many people realise this. Your fully-evolved rentals will be stuck on 0 DVs and pitiful StatEXP, while the enemy trainers (particularly later on, in round 2) will have decent DVs and, eventually, maxed out StatEXP.
What would be cool is if the saves from RBY on VC can be converted into that of RBY roms, that way I can play Stadium via emulation, using the Pokemon from RBY straight out of the 3DS. Or better yet, be able to migrate that save all the way to the cartridges, and play N64, Stadium, with Pokemon technically caught in the 3DS. That'd be amazing.
